About

A woman with dark curly hair, wearing a cream-colored shirt, brown pants, and tan boots, stands next to a large piece of blue fabric, holding it up with her right hand, in front of a beige curtain.

Porã is a slow fashion project founded by me, Rocio Gauto, an Argentine fashion designer now based in Canada.

Rooted in natural dyeing and the use of natural fabrics, each piece is created through a process that embraces time, intention, and imperfection. Rather than controlling the outcome, I work in collaboration with nature, allowing colours to emerge organically, revealing their own depth and character.

For me, working with natural dyes is not about imposing a vision, but discovering what already exists. Each garment carries subtle variations, marks of the process, and a quiet uniqueness that cannot be replicated.
